ABOUT JAY
Background
Coming from an Engineering background, the transition from studying structures to studying the human body was not something that happened overnight. It was a slower, more progressive segue that began as a hobby stemming from his own sedentary lifestyle and injury-prone body and later metamorphosed into a way of life.
It didn’t matter whether it was corrective exercise, performance training, or nutrition. Anything that was even remotely related to fitness was on Jay’s radar.
Jay is neither genetically gifted or a well-trained ex-professional athlete. He understands what it is like to learn movements and implement lifestyle changes that don't come naturally. He has gone down every wrong path and bears the physical and emotional scars from ballooning to a bodyweight of 250lb compounded by training hard for a few weeks and succumbing to aches and pains as a result of poor movement and function. He understands the ramifications of not taking a smart, methodical, periodized approach to fitness and through his own personal battles has realized a different approach to analyzing human movement and structure.
This path has led him to an active lifestyle where a new, exciting sport or activity is always right around the corner.
